Assessment and Reporting

Assessment for each subject begins from the first day and continues throughout the year.
Your teacher will build up a record of your work and assessment, and give you regular
feedback. It is important to attend every lesson and complete every assessment task to
ensure you get the best results possible.

Parent-teacher evenings are held in first, second and third terms to enable you and your
parents/carers to meet with teachers and discuss your progress. Written reports on your progress in
each subject are issued in May and August. Near the end of your course you will be informed
of your expected final results in the course. In the case of Level 3 subjects with examinations
and other external assessment, you will be informed of your expected internal results. Your
final results and certificate are issued by the Office of Tasmanian Assessment, Standards &
Certification (TASC).
