ABOVE AND BEYOND

At Claremont College we have a range of activities and support, to enrich and enhance your time at college. All students participate in our Home Group Program which assists you while at college, offering pastoral care and help to prepare for life after Year 12.  You can get dedicated career support, assistance with university information or be part of one of our study tours. WHAT YOU CAN ACHIEVE

We provide quality teaching focusing on TCE attainment, VET certification and the maximisation of university entrance scores (ATAR). Click on the videos below which explain these terms.

What is an ATAR?

The Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) is a number between 0 and 99.95. It compares your overall academic achievement and ranks it against your peers in that year.

What is the TCE?

The Tasmanian Certificate of Education (TCE) is a qualification which demonstrates you have achieved a specific standard of education.

What is VET?

Vocational Education and Training (VET) combines practical, hands on learning with a strong focus on industry and work readiness.

What is the TCEA?

The Tasmanian Certificate of Educational Achievement (TCEA) tells employers, further education providers and support services what you have achieved in Years 11 and 12.
